Beginner: Squamish harbor and estuary tour

This gentle two hour tour of the Squamish Harbor and Estuary explores the ecology and waterways of this unique and beautiful environment. Estuary ecosystems are comprised of salt marshes, mudflats, rocky intertidal shore, sea grass beds, tidal streams, and barrier beach habitats. The diversity of habitats found in estuaries, combined with the constant mixing of salt and fresh water produces a highly productive environment that is home to a great abundance of flora and fauna. This tour is in sheltered waters which means it is beginner and family friendly! Space is limited to eight participants. Activity is weather dependent.

Intermediate: Squamish river Float trip

A point-to-point morning paddle on the good moving Squamish river starting in Brackendale and finishing up right downtown. We will paddle around the Spit and into the expansive Howe Sound. We start early in order to enjoy the serenity of the glassy morning waters, observe eagles and other shore birds waking up, seals popping up to say hello, views of the Tantalus mountain range, and the waterfalls nestled in its valleys. Basic paddling experience is required. Activity is weather dependent.

Enjoy the majestic coastline with its diverse ecosystem of scenic Howe Sound on a SUP or kayak from Squamish to Britannia Beach. Once back on shore, we will treat ourselves with a delicious java and a scone at the infamous Galileo Coffee Roasters. We start early to take advantage of the wind still morning, which is also the best time to see wildlife in their rich habitat of the coastal ecosystem.

Introduction to Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Learn the basics of stand-up paddleboarding. The lesson starts with SUP introduction, warm-up, water safety, and SUP etiquette. On the water, you will learn proper standing and paddling technique, maneuvering the board, and finally learning to go over and through small waves. This course is perfect for all beginners. Our instructors are Paddle Canada certified. This activity is weather dependent.

Introduction to Kayaking

Learn the basics of kayaking. In this kayaking lesson, you will learn proper paddling and maneuvering techniques.
