Squamish SUP and Kayak Tours

All of the Paddling Tours can be done with either with kayaks or a Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUP).  Types of tours will depend on experience.

​For waterwalkers who want to explore liquid earth.  Stand-Up Paddleboarding is an amazing, fun new way to experience the water.  This multidimensional sport is one of the best workouts for developing core strength and overall fitness. Stand up paddle boarding is as fun for beginners as it is for those who are experienced watermen. Learn the sport and experience the lakes, rivers and oceans.

SQUAMISH HARBOUR  and ESTUARY TOUR

A gentle two hour tour of the Squamish Harbour and Estuary, exploring the ecology and waterways of this unique and beautiful environment. Estuary ecosystems are comprised of salt marshes, mudflats, rocky intertidal shore, sea grass beds, tidal streams, and barrier beach habitats. The diversity of habitats found in estuaries, combined with the constant mixing of salt and fresh water produces a highly productive environment that is home to a great abundance of flora and fauna. When an abundance of organisms interact in an ecosystem, this area is said to be a hotspot for biodiversity.
The tours are in sheltered waters using stable single or double kayaks or SUPs, no experience necessary! All equipment is included.  Space is limited to 10 participants.

Departure time is 8:30 am and 6 pm.

PADDLE DOWN THE SQUAMISH RIVER

A wondrous downriver, point-to-point paddle starting in the lagoon like waters of Brackendale with the sunrise and continuing down the Squamish River out around the Spit into the expansive Howe Sound before finishing up right downtown.  We start early in order to enjoy the serenity of the glassy morning waters.  Catch eagles and other shore birds waking up and spreading their wings, seals popping up to say hello and views of the Tantalus mountain range and the waterfalls nestled in its hills.  Basic paddling experience is necessary.
Departure Time is 8 am. 
–  RATE | $99 per person | Minimum 2 people
–  Duration: 2-2.5 hours of paddle time / 4 hours total
–  Basic Paddling experience is necessary
–  Trip duration and route is weather dependent
–  Includes gear, guide and shuttle
–  Wildlife observation is not guaranteed and in most cases is seasonal depending on the different species migratory patterns and behavior.

 

Morning Cruise & Coffee

Looking for something fun and unique? Increase your skill set and confidence on the ocean! Enjoy the water and majestic scenery of Howe Sound on this 3-hour guided SUP or kayak trip from Squamish to Britannia Beach for morning coffee at Galileo Coffee. Allow 4 hours including coffee and shuttle.

Departure is at 7:30 am to beat the winds!

Introduction to Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Learn the basics of getting on and off your board and proper paddling and maneuvering techniques in this fun introductory lesson. We start with a dry-land introduction that will include a SUP warm-up, proper water safety, and SUP etiquette. Then we’ll get on the water and learn how to safely get on and off the board. You’ll go from your belly to your feet and cover proper standing technique, paddling technique, turning the board, maneuvering over and through small waves, and more depending on the level of the group. This course is perfect for those who have never paddled, SUP’ed, or surfed before, though anyone who has never received formal SUP instruction will benefit.  All of our guides are Paddle Canada certified instructors.
